With the printer powered on, lower the front door and wait for the cartridge holder to center itself.

Pinch the release tab to remove both the tri-color and black ink cartridges.

Confirm that all protective orange pull-tape and plastic film have been completely removed from the nozzles and vents.

Gently buff the copper circuit contacts on the back of each cartridge using a clean, dry swab.

Push each cartridge upward and back into its slot until you hear a firm click, then close the access cover.
